VESTRY NOTICES

Please contact any member of the vestry as we are available for questions, comment and suggestions that you may have.

—The October Vestry Meeting will be held on Thursday, October 17 at 7:00 PM in the E&A Building.

—All paper Church Assessment Tool (CAT) surveys are due in Sunday, October 13. Place your survey in the black box in the Narthex. If you still need a paper copy see Dorothy Day before leaving Church and make place to get it back to her ASAP. All electronic survets are due by Wednesday, October 16 at 11AM.

—The Vestry invites all parishioners to consider which ministry you would either like to join, or create, at Holy Cross. We all have our unique gifts, given by God. He teaches us that these gifts are to be used to His glory, not placed beneath a basket. You are asked to think about what gifts He has given you, and how those can be used in His vineyard.

—Many people think Holy Cross is the church building. As the sign over the sanctuary exit reminds us, WE are the church, not the building. WE ARE HOLY CROSS!

A Prayer for our parish

O God, sustain us, your disciples at Holy Cross, as we face new tasks, in the challenges of a demanding and complicated world. By your Holy Spirit, bless us with sound judgment and the courage to persevere, so that we may boldly bear your Cross. And make us, we pray, faithful servants of your promised kingdom, through Jesus Christ our blessed Savior. Amen.
